For the Meow Debt app (Mèo Nợ) on iPhone and iPad · updated October 3, 2026

What you write down

Friends' names, amounts, reasons, notes, attached photos, due dates, reminder history and your ways to get paid (bank QR, payment links) are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud for Meow Debt, they sync through your private iCloud database (CloudKit) so your other devices see the same book. We can't read it, copy it, or keep any version of it.

Device permissions

What isn't there

Meow Debt Pro and fish snack purchases

Payments are handled by Apple through your Apple Account. We never receive payment details; the app only reads your purchases from StoreKit on the device.

Feedback

"Send feedback" opens an email in your Mail app. If you turn on "Include anonymous counts", the email adds three numbers (coinlings added, cards sent, coinlings home) — no names, no amounts. It's only sent if you tap send.

Backups and deleting

You can export a backup anytime (.zip with your data and photos, or .json with data only) — the file goes wherever you choose. The Excel report (Meow Debt Pro) is also made on your device and goes only where you choose. "Delete all data" in Settings removes the book and attached photos from your device and your iCloud. Deleting the app removes on-device data; iCloud data can be removed in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.

This website

By default this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It remembers your light or dark choice and whether you hid the guide mascot in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device. Fonts, images and scripts are served from this site, not from third parties.

When visit statistics are switched on, a cookie notice asks first. They come from Google Analytics (pages viewed, country, device type; Google signals and ad personalization are off) and load only after you press "Accept all"; "Essentials only" keeps them off. The notice stores your choice in one small cookie for six months, and "Cookie preferences" in the footer lets you change it at any time. This applies to the website only: the app collects nothing.

Children

The app doesn't collect data from anyone, including children.
